You gotta have some courage to put on your warmest clothes and hit the trails that are covered in thick snow, spend days in quaint valleys, stay disconnected from the rest of the world and listen to your own heartbeats (at times!). If all of it is already giving you goosebumps, then, Ek karvaan is all set to take you on the trip of your life!
The name "Spiti" means "The middle land". Spiti Valley is a gorgeous snow-laden barren desert with breathtaking unadulterated beauty. the Spiti Valley is one of the famous places in Himachal Pradesh. Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located 412 km away from Shimla. There are many places to visit in Spiti Valley. A few of these are Komic Village, Langza Village, Lhalung Monastery, Tabo Caves, and Tabo Monastery. Tabo Monastery is one of the oldest monasteries in the world and a favorite of the Dalai Lama. Spiti is a second home to many Gaddi sheep and goat herders (the nomadic tribe of Himachal) who come to this valley in summer to graze their animals from the surrounding villages.
Spiti is not only mesmerizing but a different “trip” altogether. We call out all nature, adventure, travel, and photography enthusiasts to experience the unexplored and hidden Spiti culture. Drive through the Spiti Valley with us and witness the beauty and the struggle to survive it!

Leave from Delhi by 09:30 PM and reach Shimla the next morning.

The road meanders on the rock-carved picturesque landscape of Kinnaur along the river banks over the Indo-Tibet highway till you reach Karcham
- the confluence of Sutlej and Baspa rivers, where a huge Dam is constructed for HydroElectric Power generation.
We cross the Dam and continue along the banks of the Baspa River to enter Sangla Valley - one of the most beautiful valleys of the Himalayas.

to Kalpa via Chitkul, Rogni suicide point, and Reckong Peo market

Post Breakfast, Explore the local village of Chitkul. Depart for Kalpa by Noon.
On the way, we will stop at Roghi Suicide Point and Reckong Peo Market. From Roghi suicide point, we will move to Kalpa. Explore Kalpa village and the temple.
Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay in Kalpa

We leave Kalpa to head into the high mountains.
After a downhill climb to the highway, we continue upstream of Sutlej witnessing the dramatic change in the landscape with every mile that passes by. With mountains becoming barren you are getting ever closer to Spiti Valley.
At Nako you will see the artificial Nako Lake and nako Monastery.

We will head towards Kungri Monastery in Pin Valley followed by a visit to Mudh Village.
We heading to Gue to see India's own naturally preserved Mummy and continue to Tabo.
En route, we will make a brief pit stop and visit the Tabo Monastery.
Our next stop in the sightseeing tour would be Dhankar where we will visit the thousand-year-old Dhankar Monastery.

Drive on the twisting high roads of Spiti to reach Komic, the highest village in the world with a motorable road at 4580m.
Have the most amazing experience of sending postcards to your loved ones from the World's Highest post office at Hikkim (4440m).
Continue driving on these high roads above 4300m with the magnificent Himalayas jutting in front of your eyes to reach Langza - the most beautiful Himalayan Village with a 6303m Peak Mt. CCKN adorning its backdrop.

A trip to Spiti is incomplete without a visit to its iconic monastery at Kee. Built on top of a hill the main shrine is surrounded by residential quarters, and administrative buildings are built in the shape of a pyramid.
This ancient marvel is a photographer's delight. You'll further visit the high villages of Kibber, Chicham.
The drive retraces your path back towards Manali over Kunzum Pass before heading upstream of Chandra River till you reach the Hidden Jewel of the Himalayan mountains, the blue Jewel, Chandratal literally translated as Moon Lake.
From the road head, you will have to trek for 15 min to reach the lake and if you feel energetic enough you can do the Parikrama or Circumambulation of the lake to witness its true glory.
Note : If due to bad weather the roads to Chandratal stay closed, our alternate stay for the day will be arranged in Batal/Manali/Kaza.
